Adani Group Eyes Buddh Circuit Revival

Noida: India’s ambitions of bringing back Formula 1 are back in focus, with the Adani Group exploring plans around the iconic Buddh International Circuit. The circuit, which hosted the Indian Grand Prix from 2011 to 2013, could once again roar to life if acquisition talks progress.

Karan Adani recently confirmed his strong personal interest in reviving F1 in India, calling it more than a three-day race but a global branding opportunity. The circuit was originally developed by Jaypee Group and later came under YEIDA control after financial troubles.

In November 2025, Adani reportedly won majority lender support with a ₹14,535 crore bid for Jaypee Associates. India previously hosted F1 races won by Sebastian Vettel of Red Bull Racing. With millions of Indian fans and rising global interest, a successful deal could accelerate Formula 1’s long-awaited return.
