Lucknow: Sairpur police arrested Man Singh, the accused in the rape of a minor girl and carrying a reward of 15,000 rupees. The accused had raped the minor daughter of his tenant last November. He had been absconding ever since. The police apprehended the accused from the Mubarakpur area and sent him to jail. The landlady and another accomplice are also accused of threatening the victim in the case.
The culprit attacked as soon as the mother went to her village: This incident is from November 24, 2025. The victim’s mother stated in her complaint to the police that she had gone to her ancestral village for some time. The accused, Man Singh, a resident of Mubarakpur, was living in her house as a tenant. Finding her minor daughter alone, he raped her. When she returned home, her daughter narrated the ordeal.
When the victim’s mother complained about this act to the landlady, she also started harassing her. It is alleged that the landlady’s accomplice and another tenant, Asharam, again molested the minor. The landlady supported the accused and even threatened to kill her.
Police apprehended him: A team formed under the leadership of Sairpur Station House Officer Manoj Kori was continuously searching for the accused. On Monday, based on accurate information from an informant, the police cordoned off the Mubarakpur area and arrested Man Singh. The police completed the necessary legal proceedings against the accused Man Singh and sent him to judicial custody.
