Lucknow: The Mahanagar police have arrested an accused, Sanjay Kashyap, who worked as a plumber, for the rape of a minor girl. The arrest was made on April 20, 2025, near Mouda Apartment in Mahanagar, Lucknow.
The case was registered at Mahanagar police station as Crime No. 91/2025 under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), and relevant sections of the POCSO Act and the SC/ST Act, based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother.
Modus Operandi:

The accused, Sanjay Kashyap, used to work at a plumbing shop where the victim’s father also worked. According to the complaint, the accused established contact with the victim’s minor daughter. He allegedly committed the act and threatened the victim’s mother regarding the incident.
Following the registration of the case, the Mahanagar police apprehended the accused, Sanjay Kashyap, on April 20, 2025. He is currently being processed for further legal action.
