Lucknow — Raising pressing concerns over the welfare of students, the Lucknow University unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum to the Vice Chancellor today. The delegation highlighted multiple issues affecting students across campus, demanding immediate redressal.
Speaking on the occasion, unit president Pratyush Pandey said that the students, particularly research scholars, have been facing misbehavior and misconduct from staff members at the Faculty of Arts during the Monthly Continuation process. “Such unruly behavior not only disrespects the dignity of students but also tarnishes the image of the university,” Pandey remarked.
One of the key demands raised by ABVP was the lack of access to clean drinking water across campus — a concern that has become even more serious in the scorching summer heat. Students are reportedly struggling with basic amenities, which should be a top priority for any educational institution.
The memorandum also pointed out the delay in disbursal of stipends to several research scholars. “Many students have yet to receive their sanctioned stipends, which is adversely impacting their academic focus and personal well-being,” the ABVP said, urging the administration to expedite the release of dues.

In response to the memorandum, the university administration assured the delegation that all raised issues would be addressed within three days. However, the ABVP warned that if the promised action is not taken in the stipulated time frame, the organization will be compelled to launch an agitation. “If no solution is reached, the university administration will bear full responsibility for the consequences,” the ABVP stated.
The delegation included Rajaram Kushwaha, Vivek Kumar, Nitish, Shivam, Abhishek Singh, Kaustubh Rai, Anjali, Nishi, Vikas, Vidit, and Divyansh, among others.
ABVP reaffirmed its commitment to student rights and stated that it would continue to raise its voice until satisfactory solutions are achieved.
