ABVP Lucknow South Organizes Kabaddi Tournament

Lucknow: As part of the National Students’ Day Week celebrations, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Lucknow South District, under its ‘Khelo Bharat’ initiative, organized an enthusiastic Kabaddi tournament at Children’s Park, Alambagh. The event witnessed participation from several local teams and aimed to promote sportsmanship and physical empowerment among youth.

The thrilling matches drew a lively audience, and the winning team was felicitated with certificates, medals, and a trophy in recognition of their spirited performance.

Kumari Pushpa, District Organization Minister of Awadh Province, encouraged students to actively engage in sports. “Sports are not merely competitions—they are platforms to build discipline, teamwork, and contribute to nation-building,” she said, inspiring young participants to channel their energy into physical and character development.

District Coordinator Kumari Anshika Singh congratulated all the participants and expressed her best wishes for their future. She said, “’Khelo Bharat’ is a key initiative of ABVP designed for the holistic development of students through regular sports and activities. All students with an interest in sports should connect with such campaigns.”

The event was also graced by City Secretary Satvik Dwivedi, Assistant City Secretary Aradhya Bhushan Dwivedi, Aalekh Singh Rathore, Manas Ojha, Ashray Singh Rathore, and City Khelo Bharat Convenor Kush Kumar, all of whom contributed to the successful execution of the program.

The event reflected ABVP’s commitment to nurturing youth not just academically but also physically, instilling a sense of unity, vitality, and discipline through traditional Indian sports like Kabaddi.
