Aashi Kiran Dominates to Secure Spot in Under-16 Girls’ Final

Lucknow: The Chandra Prakash Agarwal Memorial UP State Ranking Tennis Tournament saw intense competition as four talented players secured their spots in the finals across different categories. The tournament, organized by SDS Tennis Academy at the SDS La Martiniere Tennis Facility under the aegis of the Uttar Pradesh Tennis Association, has showcased some of the best young tennis talent in the state.

In the girls’ under-16 category, Aashi Kiran displayed an exceptional level of play as she dominated the semi-finals with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Tashi Kiran. Her performance has placed her in a strong position for the final, and she will look to claim the title in what promises to be an exciting conclusion to her campaign.

In the boys’ under-12 category, Ridit Tandon fought hard in his semi-final, edging out Praveer Tilak in a thrilling encounter, clinching a 7-6 (7-5) win. Ridit’s determination and skill have earned him a place in the final, where he will look to add another triumph to his growing list of accomplishments.

The boys’ under-16 semi-finals saw Ayan Bharti and Shikhar Verma both producing commanding performances to secure their places in the final. Ayan Bharti defeated Samarth Bhatnagar 6-4, while Shikhar Verma gave an outstanding display of tennis, defeating Shaurya Singh 6-0. Both players will now vie for the coveted title in an anticipated final clash.

The tournament also witnessed a series of exciting quarter-final matches across various age categories, with impressive performances from several young talents.

In the Boys Under-10 quarter-finals, Rudransh Pandey triumphed over Atharva Goyal 6-1, Sarthak Sharma defeated Ritwik Tandon 6-0, and Anarv Srivastava defeated Avyan Jain 6-3.

In the Boys Under-12 category, Atharva Goyal made an impressive comeback, defeating Rudra Chaurasia 6-0. Avyan Jain overcame Kshitij Tiwari 6-3, while Ridit Tandon and Praveer Tilak advanced with victories over Ayansh Pathak and Dhairya Aggarwal, respectively.

In the Girls Under-12 category, Aashi Kiran was victorious over Mishti Sharma 6-1, while Aadya Bhatt defeated D. Singh 6-2 and Aadya Bhatnagar triumphed over Mishita Singh 6-3.

The Girls Under-16 quarter-finals also witnessed great matches, with Jupisha Khan overcoming Raminder Deep Kaur 6-2, Tashi Kiran beating Aadya 6-4, and Ashi Kiran edging past Aditri 6-4 to secure a spot in the semifinals.

The Boys Under-14 category saw Anay Srivastava and Yaduraj Bhinai advance to the semi-finals with victories over Samarth Bhatnagar and Modh Hazaifia. Aryan Kumar also made his way to the semis, defeating Vibhor Srivastava 6-4.

As the tournament progresses towards its final day, all eyes are on the upcoming title matches, which are expected to be a thrilling conclusion to what has been an exciting showcase of young talent in tennis.
