Lucknow: The Aam Aadmi Party’s student wing — AAP Student Action Platform (ASAP) held its state-level organisational expansion meeting  at the AAP Uttar Pradesh headquarters in Lucknow. The meeting was chaired by Vanshraj Dubey, Chief Spokesperson and ASAP State-in-Charge for Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the gathering, Dubey emphasized, “Students are not just the future of the country; they are also the decisive force of the present. The purpose of ASAP is to harness the youth’s energy and connect it to people-centric politics that strengthens education, employment, and democracy.”

He announced that ASAP will soon establish units across universities, colleges, and districts, enhancing its organisational footprint at the grassroots level. The meeting featured presentations of progress reports by district coordinators, and detailed planning for future activities including student interactions, campus visits, and education-centric mass movements.

ASAP State President Arun Verma asserted the organisation’s intent to actively participate in the upcoming district panchayat elections, strengthening the student movement across Uttar Pradesh. He said, “ASAP will spearhead campaigns on educational equality, fee regulation, and the reinstatement of student unions across the state.”

State General Secretary Anit Rawat echoed similar sentiments, reiterating that ASAP aims to link student energy with constructive public discourse and transformative action in education and youth policy.

Also present were State Vice Presidents Kuldeep Yadav, Washim Bharti, Yashveer Singh Sengar, along with Raghukul Yatharth, Ankush Upadhyay, Nilesh Chaturvedi, Arpan Yadav, Saurabh Pandey, Rakesh Yadav, Amrish Chaubey, Aman Soni, and district leaders including Dilshad (Sitapur) and Aryan Pandey, all of whom actively contributed to the discussion.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolve to build a vibrant student movement that focuses on accountability in education, democratic rights, and youth-led political participation, in alignment with AAP’s vision for a progressive and equitable Uttar Pradesh.
