Lucknow: The Aam Aadmi Party in Uttar Pradesh celebrated a vibrant Holi Milan ceremony at its state headquarters, where party leaders and workers pledged to promote love, social harmony and unity in society on the occasion of the festival of colors.
During the event, leaders expressed concern over the prevailing political situation in the state and emphasized the need to strengthen an atmosphere of brotherhood and awareness against divisive politics. Party members greeted each other with abir and gulal, exchanging Holi wishes and reaffirming their commitment to democratic values.
The programme was organized by the party’s Intellectual Cell, as is done every year, and witnessed the participation of a large number of office-bearers, workers and members of the intellectual community. The gathering highlighted themes of social harmony, political awareness and constructive dialogue.
Speaking on the occasion, former State General Secretary Dinesh Singh Patel said that politics based on hatred and division weakens the country and society, while love and brotherhood strengthen it. He alleged that people in the state are being diverted from core issues such as inflation, unemployment, education and healthcare. According to him, the public has become aware and will respond at the appropriate time.
Patel also said that the festival of Holi conveys the message of forgetting differences and coming together to strengthen society and democracy.

Meanwhile, B N Khare, State President of the party’s Intellectual Cell, said that an educated and aware society is the real strength of democracy. He urged intellectuals to raise their voices against social injustice and misleading politics.
Khare added that the message of Holi is not limited to colors alone but symbolizes social harmony, equal opportunities and the protection of democratic rights.
Among those present at the event were State Secretary Priyanka Srivastava, District General Secretary Gyan Singh, along with P. K. Vajpayee, Rajendra Rajshree, Dheeraj Sharma, Vinay Kumar Sharma and Yogesh Nigam, besides several party workers and supporters.
The programme concluded with participants taking a collective pledge to promote social harmony and work towards positive political change in the state
