Gonda: In line with the state government’s commitment to transparent and timely grievance redressal, a “Thana Samadhan Diwas” was organized at Kotwali Dehat police station under the supervision of District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan.
During the session, the District Magistrate patiently heard complaints from citizens arriving from both rural and urban areas. The grievances primarily related to land disputes, illegal encroachments, blocked pathways, errors in revenue records, and family conflicts. Officials from the revenue and police departments were directed to act promptly and responsibly.
The District Magistrate emphasized that all complaints must be handled with seriousness and resolved within a fixed timeframe. She instructed joint teams of police and revenue officials to conduct on-site inspections and ensure fair and transparent resolutions by involving both parties to avoid future disputes.

Several cases were resolved on the spot, while others were forwarded to concerned departments with strict deadlines. Stressing accountability, the District Magistrate ordered issuance of show-cause notices to absent lekhpals who failed to attend without prior information.
She reiterated that such initiatives aim to reduce the need for citizens to make repeated visits to government offices and help strengthen public trust in the administration. Officials present included the Station House Officer of Kotwali Dehat and other personnel from police and revenue departments.
