Lucknow: The Doremi Club successfully concluded the second season of its Winter Theatre Workshop with a grand stage presentation titled “Saga of Stories” at the Buddhist Institute, Gomti Nagar. The event marked the culmination of weeks of intensive theatre training and showcased the creative growth of young performers.
The production featured dramatized scenes inspired by well-known stories such as The Wizard of Oz, The Chess Players, The Ramayana, and A Christmas Carol, along with a full-length original play, “The Sacred Tree.” The central play delivered a strong social message on how rumors and misunderstandings can disrupt harmony and relationships, brought alive through emotionally engaging performances by the children.
Conducted under the direction of acclaimed theatre artist Apurva Shah, with Abhishek Singh serving as Associate Director, the workshop focused on detailed scene work rather than rote memorization. Participants were encouraged to explore character emotions, motivations, and interpersonal dynamics, helping them build confidence, discipline, and emotional awareness.
The stage presentations reflected significant improvement in the children’s expression, storytelling skills, and teamwork. Each act demonstrated the young actors’ growing command over stage presence and collaborative performance.
Doremi Club founder Sahiba Tulsi, while addressing the gathering, expressed heartfelt gratitude to parents and participants for their continued support. She emphasized the club’s commitment to nurturing children’s theatre and providing a creative platform for young talent in Lucknow.
The evening stood as a vibrant celebration of imagination and discipline, reinforcing the vital role of theatre in the holistic development of children.
