Lucknow: The Chief Electoral Officer of the state, Navdeep Rinwa, informed that under the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) campaign, the draft electoral rolls were read out on Sunday by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in the presence of voters at all 1,77,516 polling booths across 403 (Assembly) constituencies in the state.
He said that District Election Officers, Electoral Registration Officers and other senior officials visited polling booths to closely monitor the process and ensure its smooth conduct. It was also ensured that every BLO had an adequate supply of Form 06, Form 07 and Form 08 to facilitate inclusion, deletion and correction of entries in the electoral rolls.

Appealing to all eligible citizens, the Chief Electoral Officer urged voters to carefully check their names in the draft electoral rolls. If the name of any eligible citizen is missing, they can apply for inclusion by submitting Form 06 either offline to the concerned BLO or online through voters.eci.gov.in or ceouttarpradesh.nic.in.

Rinwa further stated that the period for receiving claims and objections has been fixed until February 6, 2026. He added that all District Election Officers have been directed to ensure that the names of all eligible voters are included in the final electoral roll to be published on March 6, 2026.
The Election Commission remains committed to ensuring maximum voter inclusion and strengthening the democratic process through transparent and participatory initiatives.
