Medanta spreads the word on Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery

Lucknow: An awareness program was organized at Medanta Hospital, Lucknow  to inform people about how robotic joint replacement surgery can bring a positive transformation in their lives after surgery. The program was titled “Back to Life”. More than 200 people, including patients, their family members, and doctors, were present at the event.

On this occasion, a Meet and Greet ceremony was also organized at Medanta Hospital, in which patients’ family members, doctors, and hospital staff participated. During the ceremony, patients shared their experiences and explained how robotic knee replacement surgery has transformed their lives. Patients also shared that joint replacement surgery has made their lives easier, and now they are able to walk freely, go to the market, do cycling, and comfortably ride a scooter or drive a car.

At the beginning of the program, during a media interaction, Dr. Dharmendra Singh, Director, Department of Orthopaedics and Robotic Joint Replacement Surgery, informed people about the changes that occur in life after joint replacement surgery. He explained that robotic joint replacement surgery is a safe and highly effective technological procedure in which knee alignment becomes extremely precise. After this surgery, patients regain hope in life and are able to live an independent and active lifestyle.

Dr. Singh further stated that for people suffering from osteoarthritis or those who have been living with chronic joint pain for years, where daily independence gradually diminishes and they become dependent on others, robotic joint replacement surgery works like a pain-relieving solution.

The main highlight of the program was witnessing 80 to 85-year-old patients walking successfully after robotic joint replacement surgery, which inspired and motivated everyone present.
