Dr. Rajeshwar Singh Inaugurates Smart Classroom at Amaria Primary School Under Environment Warriors Campaign

“Every School Deserves a Smart Class,” Says Sarojininagar MLA as He Opens the 33rd Digital Classroom

Pilibhit/Lucknow: Under the ongoing Environment Warriors Campaign, a special programme was held on Tuesday at Primary School Husain Nagar, Amaria, located in the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve region. The event marked the eighth phase of the campaign and witnessed the presence of Sarojininagar MLA Dr. Rajeshwar Singh as the chief guest. Dr. Singh inaugurated the newly installed smart classroom at the school—taking the tally of smart classes established by him across various schools to 33.

“A Smart Class Can Transform an Entire Generation”

Held amid the serene natural surroundings of the tiger reserve, the event showcased a unique blend of education and technology. The presence of children, parents, and local residents added to the vibrance of the programme. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Singh said that sometimes one classroom, one screen, and one visionary teacher can change the direction of an entire generation.

He emphasized that a smart class is not merely a projector or a computer, but a gateway to imagination, curiosity, and limitless learning. Once dependent only on chalkboards, rural students can now view NASA experiments, attend lectures by professors from IITs and Oxford, and experience global learning while sitting in their village classroom.

Dr. Singh added that digital classrooms empower children not just to learn, but to think, question, and explore answers independently. Such spaces bridge the gap between rich and poor, and between rural and urban learners.
“Inside every smart class resides a future scientist, doctor, innovator, or leader,” he said. “When the light of knowledge shines, darkness disappears.”

Highlighting the significance of education, he noted that India’s literacy rate has risen from around 20% at the time of independence to more than 80% today—a result of the combined efforts of parents, teachers, and society. He urged parents to send their children to school regularly and ask them each day what new they learned.

Focus on Environmental Protection

Speaking from the heart of a tiger reserve, Dr. Singh expressed concern over rising environmental imbalance. He stressed that wildlife conservation and tree plantation are essential to secure the future of coming generations. He encouraged villagers to make biodiversity protection and environmental care a way of life.

During the programme, blankets were distributed to local residents, and stationery kits were given to students to motivate them to attend school regularly.

Target: Smart Classes in Every School of Sarojininagar

Dr. Singh reiterated his dream of equipping every school with digital learning tools.
He also announced that any school under Sarojininagar Assembly wishing to set up a smart classroom may directly contact his office for assistance.

Notably, during the seventh phase of the Environment Warriors Campaign held on November 5 at Chokhapuri, Pilibhit, Dr. Singh had announced the establishment of a smart class at the Husain Nagar Amaria school—a promise fulfilled on Tuesday, opening a new gateway to modern education for rural children.

The programme was attended by Principal Prabal Pratap Singh, Chokhapuri Primary School Principal Munish Pathak, teachers Hemlata, Rishipal Singh, Mohd. Afsar, Farah Jafri, Chandra Pal, and former village head Khemkaran Lal. All present praised the initiative, calling smart classrooms a transformative step for rural education.
