Lucknow: Lulu Mall, Lucknow, celebrated Children’s Day with a vibrant three-day cultural festival titled “Dolls of India”, aimed at honoring India’s traditional doll-making heritage, craft legacy, and sustainable artistry. Seth Anandram Jaipuria Schools partnered as an educational collaborator, infusing creativity and learning into the program.

Held from 14 to 16 November 2025, the event transformed the mall into a lively cultural hub, showcasing India’s diversity through art, storytelling, and hands-on workshops. The exhibition featured 25 traditional dolls from across the country, including Bihar’s Madhubani dolls, Jharkhand’s Chhau masks, puppets from Rajasthan and Telangana, and tribal dolls from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

A highlight was Uttar Pradesh’s Moong grass dolls, crafted from natural, eco-friendly grass, symbolizing rural life, sustainable craftsmanship, and women’s empowerment. Local artisans were given a platform, further promoting the state’s heritage.

Children and families participated in numerous creative activities:

  • 14 November: Doll-making workshop, learning traditional techniques.
  • 15 November: Clay art workshop, combining imagination with eco-consciousness.
  • 16 November: Grand puppet show featuring music, storytelling, and laughter.

Additional attractions included live pottery demonstrations, fabric doll-making, and origami workshops.

The event was inaugurated by DM Lucknow Vishak Ayyar, who praised the initiative for fostering cultural awareness among children. Key guests included Alok Shukla (CII Director & State Head), school officials, and other dignitaries.

Regional Manager Samir Verma said, “The overwhelming response to ‘Dolls of India’ has been heartwarming. Witnessing families celebrate India’s art and culture together embodies the true spirit of Children’s Day—joy, learning, and tradition.”

Seth Anandram Jaipuria Schools’ Pankaj Rathore added, “Connecting children with traditional art nurtures creativity, environmental awareness, and respect for culture beyond classrooms.”
