Lucknow: Study Hall School successfully organized its 13th edition of the Study Hall Model United Nations Conference (SHMUN) on 11 and 12 October 2025, bringing together over 120 students from eight schools across the city. Participants came from institutions such as VIBGYOR, CMS Gomti Nagar, La Martiniere Girls’ College, Study Hall School, as well as individual delegates from La Mart, M.R. Jaipuria School, and St. Francis’ College.
This year’s theme, Per Angusta Ad Augusta — “Through Difficulties to Honour,” encouraged participants to develop resilience, leadership, and problem-solving skills while addressing real-world global issues. SHMUN featured five committees: the International Press, Lok Sabha, United Nations Human Rights Council, United Nations Security Council, and two Joint Crisis Committees. The two-day format ensured that delegates could research, debate, draft resolutions, and collaborate to find sustainable solutions in accordance with official UN procedures.
Students represented various nations, delivered speeches, formed alliances, and negotiated under formal rules, simulating the authentic functioning of the United Nations. The conference emphasized diplomacy, critical thinking, and teamwork.
SHMUN Head and Study Hall student Jyotirmay said, “SHMUN helps us understand real global challenges and work on solutions through cooperation. Leading this conference was both demanding and deeply rewarding.”

Dr. Urvashi Sahni, Founder and CEO of SHEF, highlighted the broader impact of the event: “SHMUN is not just a conference—it is a platform where young minds develop leadership, confidence, and empathy. It reflects Study Hall’s commitment to nurturing responsible global citizens.”
Principal Meenakshi Bahadur added, “Our students are taking on leadership roles and engaging with international issues. SHMUN builds confidence, critical thinking, and teamwork.”
The event concluded with recognition of outstanding delegates, celebrating the spirit of diplomacy, collaboration, and youth-driven change.
