Hearing in Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah Mosque Dispute Deferred in Allahabad High Court

Prayagraj: The scheduled hearing in the high-profile Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute case could not take place in the Allahabad High Court on Thursday.

The matter was listed before the court, but the **designated bench was not available**, resulting in the postponement of the hearing.

Advocate Saurabh Tiwari, representing the temple side in Case No. 9, informed that the next date of hearing has not yet been announced.

New Judge Appointed to Hear the Case

Until now, the matter was being heard by Justice Ram Manohar Narayan Mishra. However, he has recently been transferred to the Lucknow Bench of the High Court.

In view of this change, **Chief Justice Arun Bhansali** has now appointed **Justice Avneesh Saxena** to hear the case going forward.

Bench Unavailability Causes Delay

According to court sources, the assigned bench was unavailable today, which led to the deferment of the proceedings. The registry is likely to issue a fresh date for the next hearing soon.

Background of the Case

The Krishna Janmabhoomi–Shahi Idgah dispute concerns the ownership and religious rights over land in Mathura, where the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple and the adjacent Shahi Idgah mosque are located.

With the appointment of **Justice Avneesh Saxena**, the case is expected to resume soon. All parties are now awaiting the **announcement of the new hearing date** from the High Court.
