Lucknow: A Hindi Workshop and Hindi Typing Competition were organized on 19th September under the ‘Hindi Pakhwada Utsav 2025’ by the Hindi Cell at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University. The main objective of these programs was to promote the Hindi language and to spread awareness about its importance. At the same time, the events aimed to foster national unity and cultural awareness.
During the Hindi Workshop, the keynote speaker was Prof. Puneet Mishra from the Department of Computer Science, Lucknow University, along Dr. Baljeet Kumar Srivastava, Program Coordinator and Dr. Shiv Shankar Yadav. The program began with the organizing committee presenting a shawl and memento to the chief guest as a token of gratitude. Following this, Dr. Baljeet Kumar Srivastava welcomed all the participants and introduced them to the purpose and outline of the program.
Keynote speaker Prof. Puneet Mishra, while sharing his views on the topic ‘Hindi and Artificial Intelligence’, said that in today’s era, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of our daily lives. There was a time when AI was used only for decision-making, but in the present scenario, its role has become far more extensive and impactful. Now, the important question is how AI can be utilized to enrich language and knowledge for the larger benefit of society. India has made rapid progress in the field of AI, which is why it currently holds the chairmanship of the global platform Global Partnership on AI (GPAI). He further emphasized the need to adopt Ethical AI, as its misuse could prove to be harmful for humanity in the future. In his address, Prof. Mishra also provided detailed insights on the Turing Test, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Ethical AI, and various AI-related software. He remarked that the true significance of AI development lies in its integration with human values, ethics, and responsibility, making it not just a tool of technological advancement but also a medium for social change and knowledge enhancement.

On this occasion, a Hindi Typing Competition was also organized by the committee, coordinated by Phoolchandra Yadav. The primary objective of this competition was to encourage the use of Hindi in modern technology and digital platforms, as well as to promote its smooth application in official and academic work.
In the end, Dr. Shiv Shankar proposed the vote of thanks. Various faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars, and students were present throughout the program.
