New Delhi: Professor America Singh, former Vice-Chancellor and Chairman of RDJS & Navneet Group of Institutions, Uttar Pradesh, met with Joint Secretary Dr. Alok Mishra in New Delhi to discuss key initiatives for India’s educational and economic development. The meeting was also attended by Professor S.V. Halse, Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Open University, Mysuru, and included a felicitation of both guests.
The discussions centered on national development priorities, investment policies, skill development, and the design of short-term courses tailored for youth. A particular focus was on aligning these courses with the Agniveer scheme, aiming to empower young Indians with practical skills and self-reliance.
The attendees agreed that universities should develop curricula that outline India’s educational roadmap up to 2030 and contribute toward positioning the country among developed nations by 2047. Emphasis was also placed on integrating marginalized communities into mainstream education, promoting social and economic progress through inclusive learning.


Professor America Singh highlighted the importance of agriculture as the backbone of India’s economy and noted the country’s large youth population. He stressed that courses should prepare students to excel both nationally and internationally, equipping them to meet future challenges with competence and confidence.
