Unnao: After its grand inauguration by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, India’s first AI-augmented multidisciplinary university, Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh (CU UP), has begun its first academic session by organizing a series of high-impact expert talks and industry-collaborated sessions across disciplines. These sessions aim to equip students with real-world insights, domain-relevant competencies, and future-ready skills that align with industry demands.
Bringing together leading professionals from national organizations, multinational companies through, and reputed academic institutions, CU UP is ensuring its students are job-ready from day one. Chandigarh University has also collaborated with over 20 National and Global industry giants to make students corporate ready.
The School of Management hosted an insightful session on Emerging Communication Trends and the Future of Work, focusing on the integration of hard, soft, and power skills in the evolving workplace. The session was led by Shrish Mudgal, Regional Head – Marketing, Business Standard.

The School of Computer Science and Engineering invited Kamalesh Kumar Sharma, Scientist at ISRO’s Lucknow Centre, for a talk on Current & Future Trends in Spacecraft Missions, providing students with a peek into the latest advancements in India’s space journey.
In another dynamic session for MBA students, Freddy Joseph Walespathy, Senior Business Manager – Education, SAS Institute India Pvt Ltd, discussed 21st Century Skills Industries Expect from Managers in the Era of AI, underlining the growing relevance of data analytics and AI-integrated tools.

Walespathy also addressed undergraduate students of BBA and BCom in a separate session titled Connecting with Technology: How to Prepare from Classroom to Career, outlining career opportunities in AI-powered industries.
The School of Engineering conducted a forward-looking session on Innovations in Drone Technology with Milind Raj, widely known as the “Drone Man of India”, who showcased cutting-edge developments and applications of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Further reinforcing the university’s future-forward vision, Dr. Anuj Sharma, Associate Dean of Innovation at AKTU, delivered a keynote titled Engineering the Future: Innovation & India @2047, calling upon young engineers to align with the country’s technological ambitions.
In another expert talk hosted by the School of CSE, Dr. Arunabha Mukhopadhyay, Professor at IIM Lucknow, spoke on Leveraging AI, Blockchain, and the Metaverse for Competitive Advantage, opening up a panoramic view of emerging technologies reshaping business and governance.
Additionally, a strategic industry-powered session was conducted in collaboration with Grant Thornton Bharat, Rohit Gupta, Director, Grant Thornton Bharattook a session on ‘Navigating the New Age of Finance in Fintech’. He discussed the future career prospects for students in the Fintech Industry. He also discussed the special features of the MoU between GT and CU-UP for Fintech students. Muskan Khanna, Manager, Grant Thornton Bharat,took a session on ‘Pathway to ACCA’ (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), further strengthening CU UP’s commitment to industry-collaborated learning. She discussed the journey of an ACCA student from registration to the qualification. She also discussed the special offerings of the MoU between GT and CU-UP for ACCA students.

Some of these organizations include ISRO, Roboz, Microsoft, KPMG, Quick Heals, SAS and institutions like IIM, IIT, AKTU etc. Students are getting a wider exposure of their fields even before they formally undergo classroom teaching. This will really be helpful in broader understanding of their aspirations”.
