Lucknow: The Jupiter Hall at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow, witnessed the grand display of Khadi’s modern and stylish avatars during a “Khadi Fashion Show” organized by the Uttar Pradesh Khadi and Village Industries Board. The event aimed to promote Khadi by presenting it as trendy attire.
The program was inaugurated by Rakesh Sachan, Minister of Khadi and Village Industries, alongside dignitaries like Principal Secretary Anil Kumar Sagar and CEO Dr. Ujjwal Kumar.
Renowned designers Rosie Ahluwalia, Shravan Kumar, Sabyasachi Satpathy, and Aditi Jaggi Rastogi showcased their unique collections featuring lehenga-kurtis, kurta-pajamas, stylish ghagras, and party wear, modeled by prominent names. Supermodels Deepti Gujral and Irish Bhetti mesmerized the audience with their captivating catwalks in Khadi outfits.
The show also featured a musical story inspired by Mahakumbh and a Kathak performance based on Radha-Krishna. Vibrant lighting, soulful music, and exquisite collections highlighted Khadi’s versatility, leaving the audience spellbound.
