Jaipur: The wait to see and enjoy the culture of Rajasthan up close is over. The world famous Pushkar Fair is going to start from November 2. You will be able to get acquainted with the culture of Rajasthan in the Pushkar Fair. This time the fair will start from November 2 and end on November 17. The country’s largest cattle fair will also be included in this fair.
The fair has been held for the last 100 years
The biggest attraction of the fair is the camel, the ship of the desert. Apart from its stunts, there are many competitions, in which tourists from not only the country but also from abroad participate. The soldiers will be alert regarding the security arrangements of the fair. Administrative preparations have been finalized for this. Pushkar Fair, 15 km away from Ajmer district, has been organized for more than 100 years. Camels are traded on a large scale in this fair. People bring their camels here by decorating them in a unique way.
The fair is famous for many reasons, not just camels. Rajasthan Tourism Department organizes many competitions including Shilpgram, cultural programs, sports in the Pushkar fair. Cricket matches, football, tug of war, Satoliya and Kabaddi matches are organized for domestic and foreign tourists in the fair. Decoration of camels and horses, dance etc. competitions are the attraction of this fair. Competitions like moustache, turban, bride-groom, rangoli, mandana are part of the fair for tourists.

In the 15-day International Pushkar Fair in Pushkar, the religious fair ‘Panchtirtha Snan’ will be of four days instead of five days. Panchtirtha Snan will be from Kartik Shukla Paksha Ekadashi 12 November to Kartik Shukla Purnima 15 November only. It is being said that one date is going to be lost here, due to which the Panchtirtha bath will be for only four days.
