Lucknow: Along with giving respect to women, the Yogi Adityanath government is also focusing on their safety. This is the reason why Uttar Pradesh is at the top in the whole country in resolving women related issues.

After the Yogi government took over the reins of Uttar Pradesh, this achievement has been with the state for the last several years. Uttar Pradesh Women Power Helpline has a significant contribution in this.

If we look at the figures of the year 2023 of Women Power Helpline (1090), the department has brought CM Yogi’s vision to the ground as a mission by resolving 100 percent of women’s complaints. The department has resolved more than 6 lakh complaints on time in the last 19 months.

In this, 100 percent i.e. 4,09,433 complaints out of 4,09,434 were resolved in the year 2023, while one call was found to be default. At the same time, in the year 2024, 83.92 percent of the cases were resolved on the helpline till August 30.

During this period, a total of 3,04,481 calls were registered, out of which 2,55,535 cases were resolved. This data of disposal reflects the commitment of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath to the safety and self-respect of women.

An average of 1,122 cases were resolved per day in the year 2023

ADG of Women Power Helpline Padmaja Chauhan said that women related complaints are being resolved on the basis of priorities as per the wishes of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Along with this, immediate assistance is also being provided to them.

She said that in the last year 2023, an average of 1,122 complaints were resolved per day while 1,70,734 complaints were resolved through counseling. At the same time, FIR was registered in 62,667 cases. Apart from this, all the remaining calls were transferred to the concerned department (Dial-112, Fire Department, Crime World etc.) and immediate assistance was provided.

Last year, the highest number of complaints registered were related to internet/social media at 56,973, whose ratio was 13.92 percent of the total complaints. Similarly, 5,460 family-related cases came, which were resolved through online family counselling, whose ratio is 1.33 percent of the total complaints. Apart from this, 994 cases of postponing came, whose ratio is 0.24 percent of the total complaints. While the highest number of cases at 40,972 came from Lucknow, while Kanpur Nagar was on the second position with 18,358 cases, Prayagraj was on the third position with 14,698 cases, Azamgarh was on the fourth position with 12,388 cases and Gorakhpur was on the fifth position with 12,354 cases.

Similarly, Lucknow police stations were transferred the most number of cases for action at 5,547, while Kanpur Nagar was second with 3,218 cases, Prayagraj third with 2,495 cases, Unnao fourth with 1,865 cases and Jaunpur fifth with 1,857 cases.

1,70,734 cases were resolved through counselling

Women Power Helpline media co-ordinator Vinod Yadav said that 3,04,481 calls were registered on the helpline from January to 30 August this year. Out of this, 2,55,535 cases were resolved, the ratio of which was 83.92 percent.

At the same time, work is being done to resolve the remaining calls on a war footing. He informed that on an average 1,047 complaints were resolved daily while 1,70,734 complaints were resolved through counselling. FIR was registered in 36,260 cases. Apart from this, all the remaining calls were transferred to the concerned department (dial-112, fire department, crime related etc.) and immediate help was provided.

Till August, the highest number of complaints registered were related to internet/social media, 43,894, whose ratio was 14.42 percent of the total complaints. Similarly, 3,352 family related cases came, which were resolved through online family counselling, whose ratio is 1.10 percent of the total complaints. Apart from this, 558 cases of postponing came, whose ratio is 0.18 percent of the total complaints. The maximum number of cases came from Lucknow at 31,729 while Kanpur Nagar came second with 14,341 cases, Prayagraj came third with 11,694 cases, Azamgarh came fourth with 10,186 cases and Gorakhpur came fifth with 9,760 cases.

Similarly, the maximum number of 3,820 cases were transferred to Lucknow police stations for action while Kanpur Nagar came second with 2,270 cases, Prayagraj came third with 1,764 cases, Gorakhpur came fourth with 1,284 cases and Unnao came fifth with 1,259 cases that were transferred to police stations for action.
