Varanasi: The Yogi government is not only rolling out the red carpet for the devotees of Lord Shiva and showering flowers on Kanwar yatras, but is also ensuring their comfort and facilitating easy darshan. With the fourth Monday of the Shravan month approaching, all arrangements have been made.
Over three lakh devotees had darshan of Shri Kashi Vishwanath’s Jyotirlinga last Monday, and a similar turnout is anticipated for this Monday.
Additionally, the temple trust has completed preparations for the Rudraksha Shringar of Kashi Puradhipati Baba Vishwanath, offering devotees a glimpse of this divine form. Throughout the month of Shravan, different forms of Devadhidev Mahadev are showcased in the Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple, with five Mondays this year presenting Baba uniquely.
The month of Shravan is revered as Lord Shiva’s favorite time, and visiting Baba Vishwanath on Mondays is believed to bring special blessings and virtues. Devotees have already experienced Mahadev’s divine presence in three distinct forms this Shravan.
On the fourth Monday, devotees will have the opportunity to see Baba Vishwanath adorned with Rudraksha. Previously, Baba Vishwanath was showcased in various forms: as a moving idol on the first Monday, as Gauri Shankar (Shankar-Parvati) on the second, and as Ardhanarishvara on the third. On the final Monday of Shravan, August 19th, Bhole Baba will have Shankar, Parvati, Ganesh Shringar, and the annual Jhula Shringar for Shravan Purnima.
It’s important to note that significant attention is being paid to the facilities for devotees of Lord Shiva visiting Kashi during the month of Shravan. Due to the rising water levels of the Ganga, access to Vishwanath Dham is restricted from three of the four entry gates.
Consequently, there is an increased likelihood of larger crowds at the fourth entry gate on Mondays. In response to this, the temple administration, along with district and police officials, have thoroughly reviewed and finalized the preparations.
