Lucknow: IILM Lucknow organised an orientation programme for the new students of PGDM Batch 2024-26 on August 03. The orientation programme was conducted after the completion of the two-week long Foundation Programme. On the occasion of the commencement of the new batch of PGDM, IILM Academy of Higher Learning witnessed power-packed sessions, specially designed as per the industry trends.
The two-week long Foundation Programme commenced on July 15, 2024 with the lighting of the lamp and welcome address by Dr. Sheetal Sharma, Dean, IILM Academy of Higher Learning, Lucknow. Addressing the new batch, Dr. Sharma extended a warm welcome to all the students and emphasised on the reason that has brought the students to the campus. She said that life will throw many challenges in front of you and your attitude will decide whether you will be able to overcome this challenge or not.
During the Foundation Programme, many experts from the industry were invited to take sessions on relevant topics. Pooja Shah, HRBP from Airtel Payments Bank took a session and helped the students dispel several myths and clarified what the industry expects from management graduates.
Vanita, Founder of Kovida, who took a session on confidence building, Abhishek Srivastava, Assistant General Manager and Regional HR Head, TCS shared practical insights with the students about the skills and attributes required to thrive in the contemporary business landscape.
IILM Lucknow also invited some alumni members to share their experiences from campus to corporate. Anamika Pandey (Batch 2019-21) and Yash Verma (Batch 2021-23) shared invaluable experience and knowledge during an engaging panel discussion.
The orientation day was graced by Deepak Mishra, Head of Human Capital, CP Group and Mohammad Kamran, Cluster Head, Bajaj Finserv AMC, who shared invaluable insights from the corporate world. The day began with a warm welcome, cake cutting ceremony and concluded with the celebration of our Talent Hunt winners.
The power packed sessions were based on the multifaceted aspects of life at IILM, Lucknow – including academics, skill learning and opportunities for holistic development through extracurricular activities. These sessions were crucial in bridging the gap between academic education and real-world expectations, equipping students with the knowledge and understanding required to succeed in their careers.
