57th Foundation Day of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal Celebrated at Rohilkhand University

Bareilly: The 57th Foundation Day of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal was celebrated at the Panchal Auditorium of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University with a focus on promoting Indian values in education and fostering equitable social transformation.

The programme commenced with floral tributes and lighting of the ceremonial lamp before the idols of Maa Saraswati and Bharat Mata. The inaugural ceremony was led by RSS Sah-Prant Karyawah Rajpal, Chief Guest Shruti Gangwar, Prof. Sumitra Kukreti, and Programme Convenor Prof. Ashutosh Priya.

Welcoming the guests, Prof. Ashutosh Priya highlighted the theme of the event—“Indianness in Education and Equitable Social Change.”

Addressing the gathering, Rajpal emphasized that education should not be limited to economic gains but must promote patriotism, ethical conduct, self-reliance, and self-respect. He stressed that the true aim of education is character building and nation-building, with a strong foundation in life values.

Chief Guest Shruti Gangwar underlined the need to integrate Indian knowledge traditions into the education system instead of excessive westernization. She noted that India, with one of the world’s largest youth populations, requires an education system that strengthens both inner resilience and practical skills to build a developed nation by 2047.

Prof. Sumitra Kukreti elaborated on the journey and contributions of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal since its स्थापना in 1969. She also highlighted its various academic and outreach activities. On the occasion, a brochure for the upcoming “Anubhuti Camp” scheduled from June 3 to June 13, 2026, in Pune, Maharashtra, was also released.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Rohilkhand University as well as Bareilly College. Several prominent academicians and members of the organisation, including Prof. B.R. Kukreti, Prof. Pushpendra Bahadur Singh, Dr. Harish Bhatt, Prof. Sudhir Kumar, Prof. Prempal Singh, Prof. Santosh Arora, Prof. Tulika Saxena, Dr. Ajay Yadav, Dr. Saurabh Verma, and Dr. Mukesh Sharma, were present.

The programme also featured a musical performance by Manoj Pathak. The event was conducted by Prof. Ruchi Dwivedi, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Shiv Singh.

The event concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening value-based education rooted in Indian culture and traditions.
