Bareilly – The second day of the 50th Foundation Day celebrations at Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand University was marked by a spirited Sports Meet under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof. K.P. Singh. The event, featuring teaching and non-teaching staff, saw competitive matches in tug-of-war, kabaddi, volleyball, badminton, and table tennis.
The Sports Meet was inaugurated with a badminton match played by Registrar Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Sports Council Secretary Mr. S.S. Bedi, and Prof. Alok Srivastava.
Competitive Spirit on Display
The competitions highlighted teamwork and enthusiasm among the participants:
- Tug-of-War: Teaching staff emerged victorious.
- Kabaddi: Non-teaching staff secured the win.
- Volleyball: Class IV employees’ team claimed first place.
Badminton and Table Tennis Competitions
The badminton and table tennis events were divided into men’s and women’s singles and doubles categories, with the following results:
- Badminton (Women’s): Teaching staff secured first place, while non-teaching staff finished second.
- Badminton (Men’s): Non-teaching staff won first place, with teaching staff finishing as runners-up.
- Table Tennis (Men’s): Non-teaching staff claimed first place, while teaching staff finished second.
- Table Tennis (Women’s): Teaching staff secured the top spot, followed by non-teaching staff in second place.
