370 Complaints Received at Samadhan Diwas in Lucknow; 67 Resolved on the Spot

Lucknow: A district-level Sampoorna Samadhan Diwas was organized across all five tehsils of Lucknow on Saturday to address public grievances, with the main session held at Malihabad Tehsil under the chairmanship of the District Magistrate.

During the grievance redressal programme, a total of 370 complaints were received across the district, out of which 67 cases were resolved on the spot by the concerned officials.

At the Malihabad Tehsil session, the District Magistrate personally reviewed public complaints and ensured the disposal of 28 cases immediately through coordinated efforts of various departmental teams. A total of 90 complaints were received at the Malihabad camp, while the remaining cases were forwarded to the concerned departments with instructions to resolve them within a week.

The District Magistrate emphasized that addressing citizens’ grievances at the local level remains a key priority of the government. Officials were directed to ensure prompt, time-bound and quality disposal of complaints while strictly following legal procedures.

Tehsil-wise data showed that 35 complaints were received at Sadar Tehsil, of which four were resolved on the spot. At Malihabad Tehsil, 28 out of 90 complaints were disposed of immediately. BKT Tehsil received 55 complaints, with nine resolved, while Mohanlalganj Tehsil recorded 133 complaints, with 21 settled during the programme. At Sarojini Nagar Tehsil, five out of 57 complaints were addressed on the spot. The remaining complaints were sent to the respective departments for resolution within the stipulated timeframe.

According to the district administration, the complaints received during the programme included 61 related to police matters, five joint complaints involving police and revenue departments, 187 revenue-related cases, 27 development-related issues, three each related to education and health, 12 linked to social welfare, one concerning the municipal corporation, and 71 pertaining to other departments.

The District Magistrate directed all district-level officers to adhere to the prescribed timeline for disposing of the complaints and to submit reports along with photographic and video evidence of the action taken. Officials were also instructed to contact complainants after resolving their issues and obtain feedback to ensure satisfaction with the redressal process.

Among those present on the occasion were Chief Development Officer Ajay Jain, Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue) Rakesh Singh, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Malihabad Ankit Kumar, the Malihabad Tehsildar, and officials from the police, social welfare department and other administrative departments.
