179 Polytechnic Heads Assigned Institutes, Proposal to be Sent for Government Approval

Lucknow: An online counseling process was conducted for the appointment of 179 heads of departments from the 180 newly promoted heads in polytechnic institutions across the state. The counseling was carried out based on seniority to ensure transparency and fairness in the allocation of institutes. The proposal for the appointment of the department heads will soon be sent to the government for approval. This exercise marks the first time the Technical Education Department in the Diploma sector has undertaken such a process.

During the counseling, no department head raised any objections, highlighting the smoothness and fairness of the procedure. As per the transfer policy for allocation, department heads who have served for three or seven years in their home district, district, and division were not allotted institutes within their own regions.

The counseling process took place in the auditorium of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), starting at 10 AM. Two desks were set up for the department heads to fill out their choices based on their respective branches. The process was monitored by the Vice Chancellor of AKTU, Prof. JP Pandey; Director-General of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh, IAS Mr. Avinash Krishna Singh; Director of Technical Education, IAS Mr. Anavi Dinesh Kumar; and Director of Research, Development, and Training Institute Kanpur, Mr. FR Khan.

The successful execution of the counseling was also ensured by Principal of the Directorate of Technical Education Headquarters, Mr. Ashish Gupta; Deputy Director (Establishment) Mr. Nidesh Maurya; Assistant Director (Establishment) Mr. Durgesh Chand; and the IT Cell team consisting of Sunil Kumar, Anurag Singh, Swati Srivastava, Azad, and the joint directors from various zones of the Technical Education Department. Additionally, the Registrar of AKTU, IAS Mrs. Reena Singh; Deputy Registrar Dr. RK Singh; and Assistant Registrar Mr. Saurabh Singh extended their cooperation during the event.
