11th International Yoga Day organized with the objective of “Yoga for One Earth One Health” at AIIMS Raebareli

Raebareli: The 11th International Yoga Day was organized with great fanfare atMedical College building, AIIMS Raebareli. With the vision and leadership of our beloved Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare is leading the way in spreading yoga to masses. The program began with remembering Adiyogi Shiva, the originator of yoga.

Dr. Anju Nanda, DDG from Directorate General of Health Services attended the program as the chief guest. The chief guest said that 21st June is the longest day in the Northern Hemisphere, due to which today’s day has been chosen for International Yoga Day. Yogacharya Shruti Kirti, Shreyansh Tiwari and Raman Tanda ji conducted yoga practice for the participants present.

After the group yoga practice, Deputy Director (Administration) Colonel Akhilesh Singh and Additional Medical Officer Dr. Neeraj Kr. Srivastava administered a collective oath to everyone to practice yoga daily. Administrative Officer Mr. Kunwar Bal Yogeshwar Singh said that we should adopt yoga like Adiyogi Shiva so that we stay away from mental diseases.

While explaining Ashtang Yoga, Ayush Medical Officer Dr. Hari Krishna Pareek said that by following Yama-Niyama and practicing Yoga Pranayama, one can get relief from diseases like slip disc, joint pain, cervical pain, obesity, stomach diseases, colitis, fatty liver etc. In the group yoga practice, about 150 people including Dr. Amit Kumar Srivastava, Dr. Vijay VR, faculty members, Hindi officer Saurabh Kumar, security officer Ajay Kumar, Anil Prajapati, Brij Garg and other employees, nursing officers, students, security personnel did group yoga practice.
