Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya hailed the 11-year journey of the Narendra Modi-led government as “historic and unparalleled,” emphasizing its focus on service, good governance, and welfare of the poor. Speaking at a Sankalp Sabha held in Akilpur Jagir village of Gautam Buddh Nagar to mark the occasion, Maurya described the period from 2014 to 2025 as “transformational” for India.
He stated, “This is the journey of a self-reliant India. Under PM Modi’s leadership, bold and decisive steps have shaped the country’s growth. India has become a global force in technology, empowering its citizens and asserting its presence on international platforms.”
Highlighting key achievements of the Modi government, he cited economic reforms, the implementation of a unified tax regime under “One Nation, One Tax,” and the promotion of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam at global forums. He also praised initiatives like the construction of the new Parliament building, push for “One Nation, One Election,” India’s leadership in solar and wind energy, and the launch of the National Green Hydrogen Mission.
On women empowerment, Maurya called the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam a historic step toward gender equality.
“From legacy to development — metro expansions, affordable air travel, Vande Bharat trains, highways, industrial corridors, agricultural reforms, national security, and social justice — India is scripting a new chapter of progress,” he added.
The event witnessed the presence of MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma, MLAs Tejpal Singh Nagar and Narendra Bhati, and other dignitaries. Maurya also inaugurated a martyr memorial at Baba Mathura Ji’s site in Bisrakh and visited Tejpal Singh Nagar’s residence to meet his family.
