Ram Mandir Movement Martyrs

TLT Desk | Ayodhya : In a significant move to honour the departed souls associated with the Ram Mandir movement, the Ram Mandir Construction Committee has decided to build a towering 11-metre memorial made of granite stone. The monument will be erected near the Sapt Rishi temple, within the sprawling 70-acre temple complex. The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has given its formal approval for the project.

Committee Chairman Nripendra Misra shared updates from the ongoing two-day committee meeting and confirmed that the memorial will be completed by December 2025, coinciding with the temple’s construction deadline.

Diamond Ornaments for Ram Lalla

Adding to the grandeur, a Mumbai-based diamond merchant has offered to design and donate exclusive diamond-studded ornaments for Ram Lalla. The same donor had previously contributed ₹70 crore towards the gold-plating of the temple kalash. The merchant has sought permission to take precise measurements of the deity’s idol for crafting the ornaments, which the Trust has approved.

Construction Nearing Completion

Misra said that the core temple structure is nearly complete. A review meeting has outlined a list of remaining works, which will be prioritized and completed within the next four months. As construction progresses, completed segments are being handed over to the temple trust.

However, two major projects—the auditorium and the International Ram Katha Museum—will extend into the first half of 2026.

High-Security Boundary Wall and Facade Lighting Finalised

The committee also announced that a 16-foot-high, 4-km-long boundary wall around the complex will be constructed, starting after August 15, 2025, following the opening of tenders. Equipped with high-tech security sensors and CCTV cameras, the wall’s design is being finalized in consultation with police officials.

The final decision on the facade lighting design has also been made. Costing ₹5 crore, the final presentation of the lighting system is scheduled for August 18, 2025
