Sri Ganganagar: In a major breakthrough under Operation Seema Sankalp, the Sri Ganganagar police have arrested one person and seized a significant quantity of illegal narcotics as part of their ongoing efforts to make the district drug-free.
Superintendent of Police Gaurav Yadav, who also serves as Deputy Inspector General of Police, informed the media that the operation is being carried out as per the directives of Rajasthan Director General of Police Utkal Ranjan Sahu. The focus is to crack down on drug networks and rescue youth from the trap of substance abuse.
Seizure Details:
On a routine checkpoint operation at 22 G.G. (Ganganagar-Gujar Ghar), the team led by Sub-Inspector Malikayat Singh, Station House Officer of Chhunanwali Police Station, intercepted a suspect named Shravan Kumar, son of Mangi Lal Babulal and a resident of Barmer.

A search revealed 1.505 kg of illegal opium in his possession. He was immediately arrested, and a case was registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act).
Investigation Underway
The case has been handed over to Inspector Gurmel Singh, Station House Officer of Hindumalkot Police Station, for further investigation. Authorities believe this seizure could be part of a larger inter-district narcotics trafficking ring.
