₹92.46 Crore Sanctioned for 16 Projects to Boost Tourism and Beautify Key Sites in Ayodhya: Jaiveer Singh

Projects approved on the proposal of the Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad

Lucknow/Ayodhya | The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has sanctioned 16 tourism and infrastructure development projects worth ₹92.46 crore for Ayodhya in the financial year 2024–25. These projects, aimed at enhancing tourist facilities and beautifying important religious and cultural sites, have been approved based on proposals submitted by the Ayodhya Teerth Vikas Parishad.

Uttar Pradesh Minister for Tourism and Culture,  Jaiveer Singh, shared the information. He informed that the Uttar Pradesh Projects Corporation Ltd. has been entrusted with the implementation of these projects. The corporation has been instructed to ensure high-quality construction and adherence to timelines.

The projects include the development of Kamharia Baba Temple in Tarun Block, the construction of spectator galleries and tourist facilities at Ram Ki Paidi, and beautification of key sites such as Makhoda Bharatkund, Shravan Kshetra, the ashram of Sage Shringi, and Dashrath Samadhi. The Thakur Ram Janaki New Panchayati Temple will also undergo tourism-focused enhancements.

Further, in the Milkipur constituency’s Amaniganj block, the Gahanag Baba Dham in Ram Patti will be developed as a tourist site. Other locations such as Succhitaganj Sohawal, the Chhawani Temple of Tulsidas Ji, and the Rajghat area on the banks of the Saryu River will see new infrastructure including an amphitheater and food court.

Plans are also underway for the construction of a Panchkosi, Chaudah Kosi, and Chaurasi Kosi Parikrama Museum and Interpretation Centre at Saket Sadan in Ayodhya. In Abanpur Saroha village of Masooda Block, a tourism facility center under the rural tourism scheme will be built.

Additional initiatives include the enhancement of important religious paths like Rampath, Bhaktipath, Dharampath, and Janmabhoomi Path, along with installations such as ministering fans and canopies. Beautification of the Gulab Bari Farm in Ward No. 13 near Acharya Narendra Dev’s premises, restoration of Kaushlesh Sadan, Bhaskar Bhavan, and Sant Nivas in Ayodhya is also part of the comprehensive development plan.

Moreover, to improve tourist convenience at Guptar Ghat, gazebo benches and upgraded lighting facilities will be installed.

These initiatives are part of the state government’s broader effort to establish Ayodhya as a premier global religious tourism destination, blending spirituality with sustainable infrastructure and visitor-friendly amenities.
