Gonda: Interviews for applicants who have applied online under the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana will be conducted trade-wise from October 5 in Gonda. The scheme provides 10 days of training to traditional artisans, followed by advanced toolkits.
The Deputy Commissioner of Industries, District Industries Promotion and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Gonda, said the scheme covers 25 trades, including carpenters, barbers, blacksmiths, masons, potters, washermen, cobblers, confectioners, tailors, goldsmiths, sculptors, garland makers, milk sellers, fishers, mobile and automobile repair workers, electricians, plumbers, computer repair technicians, solar installers, digital photographers, beauty and wellness workers, and basket weavers.
Interviews will be held at 11 am at the District Industries Promotion and Entrepreneurship Development Centre, Gonda. Carpenter applicants will be interviewed on October 5, blacksmiths on October 6, masons on October 7, and barbers, cobblers and washermen on October 8.
Applicants must bring their Aadhaar card and caste certificate. Those belonging to a different caste from the traditional artisan category must also submit a certificate from the Gram Pradhan or Nagar Panchayat/Municipality chairperson confirming their work in the relevant trade.
The department has urged applicants to attend on the scheduled date with all required documents. Applications of those absent from the interview will not be considered.
